Are you paying too much for your Internet?

The Internet is a complex and funny thing. We all use it every day, but do we really understand what we’re paying for? It’s safe to say that over the years, and through the many different packages that I’ve had, I’ve never been fully confident that the package I was paying for was the right one for me. So generally, I’ve just taken my sales rep’s word for it.

As it turns out, I’m not the only one who’s had some difficulties navigating through the dozens of available packages. In a recent survey specifically intended to address this issue, almost a third (32%) of the 1,500 Canadian respondents were found to be a little confused about their plan.

As a member of the TekSavvy team, I’m pleased to announce that we've just released a new web app to lend a helping hand. So what’s the goal? To provide us all with some clarity so we can be more informed and in control of our Internet plans. Finally knowing what speed and how much data I need to purchase is as easy as a few clicks of the mouse.

By answering a few simple questions about how your household uses the Internet, you can prevent those pesky overage charges and make sure you’re not paying for more than you need. So click here to find the app in English, and here in French.

Want to see how your knowledge of Internet plans stacks up against other Canadians? Take a look at TekSavvy’s Internet Plan Infographic, here.
